Educational Overview
The overall educational objective for the Annual Meeting of the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons is to disseminate current and advanced knowledge in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery among professionals who are involved in this Specialty.

Intended Audience
This educational activity is intended for plastic surgeons, residents and other healthcare professional interested in translating expanded knowledge into practice for the improvement of patient care and outcomes.

ABMS Core Competencies
This course will address the following ACGME/ABMS Competencies:

  1. Professionalism
  2. Patient Care and Procedural Skills
  3. Medical Knowledge

Overall Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate improved competency in both restorative and aesthetic surgical techniques that have been discussed during the panel and abstract sessions.
  2. Gauge the effectiveness of various existing and evolving treatment options.
  3. Identify key factors in selecting the appropriate treatments for patients.
  4. Discuss the pitfalls/technical challenges in the use of new technologies and techniques.

Accreditation Statement
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the join sponsorship of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons. The ASPS is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Designation Statement
The ASPS designates this live activity for a maximum of 17.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
